Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Clarendon walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Sanford-Fritch Eagles with a sharp 17-6 victory on Thursday. Considering the Broncos have won 15 matches by more than ten runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The win was the third in a row for Clarendon, bringing their record up to 20-5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Sanford-Fritch, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.

Clarendon will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
