Basketball Game Preview: Abilene Cowboys vs. Chapman Irish

The Abilene Cowboys just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Chapman Irish at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Abilene and nine for Chapman.

On Monday, Abilene ended up a good deal behind Concordia and lost 53-37.

Meanwhile, Chapman was beaten by Wamego 57-25 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Irish can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while the Red Raiders are ranked 58th).

Chapman's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Abilene, their loss dropped their record down to 3-15.

Abilene skirted past Chapman 40-37 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Abilene since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
