Basketball Recap: North Hall Takes a Loss

After flying high against Chestatee on Friday, North Hall came back down to earth. The North Hall Trojans fell just short of the Flowery Branch Falcons by a score of 72-69 on Saturday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Trojans came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Falcons are ranked 357th).

North Hall has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Flowery Branch, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Hall will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Greater Atlanta Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Flowery Branch will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Forsyth Central at 4:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
