Basketball Recap: Independence Comes Up Short

Independence was the 52-47 winner over Franklin when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Independence Eagles were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 1-0 to the Franklin Admirals. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.

Independence's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-6. As for Franklin, they pushed their record up to 8-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Independence will take on Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Independence is facing Centennial at the right time seeing as Centennial is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Franklin, they will host Brentwood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
