Preview: Webutuck Warriors vs. Pine Plains Bombers
Webutuck has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Pine Plains Bombers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 80-37, which was the final score in Webutuck's tilt against Mount Academy on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Webutuck can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 372nd, while Mount Academy is ranked 64th).
Meanwhile, Pine Plains was the victim of a rough 65-43 defeat at the hands of Millbrook on Monday.
Webutuck's loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-3. As for Pine Plains, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Webutuck might still be hurting after the 56-31 defeat they got from Pine Plains in their previous matchup back in January. Can Webutuck avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
