South Glens Falls takes loss despite strong efforts from Jordan Wolfe and Bailee Wolfe

The South Glens Falls Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 62-44 fall against Ballston Spa. While losing is never fun, South Glens Falls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 315th, while Ballston Spa is ranked 104th).

South Glens Falls' loss came despite strong showings from Bailee Wolfe and Jordan Wolfe. Wolfe scored 14 points, while Wolfe scored 13 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jade maille, who scored four points along with ten rebounds.

Ballston Spa got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Chloe Rhoden out in front who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for her. Sophia Lee was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven assists and seven steals.

South Glens Falls has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Ballston Spa, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Glens Falls won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Amsterdam at 7:00 p.m. on January 4th. Amsterdam is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. Ballston Spa's road trip will continue as they head out to face Bethlehem Central at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th.
