Softball Recap: Monday's Loss Ends Houston's Winning Streak

After flying high against Pine Grove last Saturday, Houston came back down to earth. The Houston Hilltoppers took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eupora Eagles on Monday. The Hilltoppers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

With the defeat, Houston broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Eupora, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Eupora beat Houston by a score of 8-3 on Tuesday.
