Volleyball Recap: St. Benedict at Auburndale Comes Up Short

St. Benedict at Auburndale was the 3-0 winner over Tipton-Rosemark Academy when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell 3-1 to the Rebels on Saturday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While St. Benedict at Auburndale ultimately came up short, they really made Tipton-Rosemark Academy work, particularly in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-20, 24-26, 26-24.

Morgan Miller paced St. Benedict at Auburndale's offense, picking up 11 kills. Miller got some help from Ashlyn Underwood and her 22 assists. Underwood was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

St. Benedict at Auburndale's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Tipton-Rosemark Academy, they now have a winning record of 12-11.

St. Benedict at Auburndale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tipton-Rosemark Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Varsity Opponent on the 6th.
