Basketball Recap: North Garland Comes Up Short

North Garland lost against Rowlett back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The matchup between the North Garland Raiders and the Rowlett Eagles didn't end well, with the North Garland Raiders falling 46-28.

When it comes to explaining why North Garland lost, don't look at Alaa Al Mzayen. Despite the final result, she posted 13 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlan Reed, who scored two points and three steals.

Rowlett's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kristyn Galloway, who had nine points and four steals. Amyah Jones was another key player, putting up four points and four steals.

North Garland has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-18 record this season. As for Rowlett, they moved to 12-20 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

North Garland is taking a road trip to square off against Garland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Garland is facing Garland at the right time seeing as Garland is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Rowlett, they will welcome Sachse at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
