Fans got a thrill when Jason Kopriva and Jalen White connected against McGregor. The connection went for 79 yards, the longest such play in 2A-1 Region IV District 13 this season.

Lago Vista scaled the state rankings by moving to 190 from 230 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Vikings were able to move up by beating Marlin 35-14.

Kopriva threw for 199 yards and 2 touchdowns. He was 7-12 with 0 interceptions.

Kase Spears was the best wideout in the league this week as Salado fell to Troy. Spears tallied 10 receptions for 105 yards. Chase Crenwelge helped Salado's passing attack out by catching 6 balls for 51 yards.

The Eagles' McLane Carter and Spears have formed a dream team this season, leading 2A-1 Region IV District 13 in both passing and receiving yards. Carter has thrown for 2,226 yards this season, while Spears has 51 catches for 845 yards. Cameron Yoe's Traion Smith leads the league in rushing yards with 1,103.

The Yoemen are currently in second, while the Trojans are in third.
