Football Game Preview: Archbishop McNicholas Rockets vs. Badin Rams

The Archbishop McNicholas Rockets are taking a road trip to take on the Badin Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Archbishop McNicholas' defense has only allowed 12.6 points per game this season, so Badin's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Archbishop McNicholas blew Bishop Fenwick out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Bishop Fenwick got their revenge. The Rockets fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 16-14. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Rockets have suffered against the Falcons since October 8, 2016.

Meanwhile, Badin put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 28-14 victory over Archbishop Alter. Those 28 points were actually the fewest the Rams have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Badin's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Archbishop McNicholas, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Archbishop McNicholas came up short against Badin in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 10-6. Can the Rockets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
