Coginchaug Regional won the last time they faced Valley Regional and things went their way on Saturday too. The Blue Devils had just enough and edged out the Warriors 2-1.

Emily Allen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances.

Coginchaug Regional's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Valley Regional, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-9.

Coginchaug Regional didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against North Branford on the 27th. Valley Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
