Baseball Recap: Dexter Wins Going Away Against Doniphan

Dexter never got on the board in their matchup on Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Doniphan on Monday. They were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over the Dons. The result was nothing new for the Bearcats, who have now won six matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Justus Lovelady was incredible, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Jaxon Miller, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Dexter's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Doniphan, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Looking ahead, Dexter will be playing at home against Twin Rivers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Royals' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Bearcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Doniphan, they are taking a road trip to face off against Bloomfield at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
