Volleyball Recap: Hixson Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Hixson was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Red Bank on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats fell 2-0 to the Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences Patriots on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 two weeks ago.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-16.

Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amanda Gardner, who had 11 kills and seven digs. Gardner is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 12 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Brynne Burkhart, who had 25 assists and three digs.

Hixson's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences, they are on a roll lately: they've won 20 of their last 22 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Hixson nor Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences have any future games scheduled.
