Recap: Banks Braves vs. North Valley Knights
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Banks Braves had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 35-6 victory over North Valley. The win was just business as usual for Banks, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.
Banks had a senior duo take command as Kade Long threw for 159 yards and a touchdown while completing 75% of his passes and Ashton Crossen rushed for 71 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. Another player making a difference was Justin Walters, who rushed for 29 yards and two touchdowns.
Banks has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 11-0 record. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 30.42 points. As for North Valley, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3.
Banks will face off against South Umpqua at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Umpqua is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. North Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
