Basketball Recap: Westwood Takes a Loss

Westwood lost against Kingdom Collegiate Academy back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Westwood Wildcats were dealt a 98-20 defeat at the hands of Kingdom Collegiate Academy. The match marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Kingdom Collegiate Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Trey Fulcher, who went 14 for 18 on his way to 31 points in addition to six boards and five steals. The game was Fulcher's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Evans, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 13 rebounds.

Westwood's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Kingdom Collegiate Academy, they pushed their record up to 21-10 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westwood will challenge Dallas Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Dallas Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.8 points per game this season. Kingdom Collegiate Academy has already played their next contest (against Fairhill), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
