After a string of three wins, Franklin-Simpson's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 5-2 to the Greenwood Gators. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-1 back in March.

Franklin-Simpson saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Delk, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Franklin-Simpson's defeat dropped their record down to 22-13. As for Greenwood, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 23-6.

Franklin-Simpson has already played their next game (against Westmoreland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Greenwood, they will host Christian County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Gators 1.7, the Colonels 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
