Oxford has no trouble against Caldwell

The Oxford Wildcats had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They strolled past Caldwell with points to spare, taking the game 43-27. That's another feather in the cap for Oxford, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Caldwell's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bree Strecansky, who scored five points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Oxford's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-9. As for Caldwell, they dropped their record down to 1-12 with that loss, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oxford will face off against the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Caldwell, they will head out on the road to face off against the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Flinthills presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Bluejays in Kansas (the Mustangs are ranked 143rd, while the Bluejays are ranked 358th).
