Baseball Recap: Armstrong Takes a Loss

Armstrong lost against Fox Chapel back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Armstrong took a 13-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fox Chapel.

Ian Graham and Brayden Wright stepped up to the plate in a big way. Graham went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one run, and one double, while Wright went 3-for-4 with one home run. Those two hits gave Graham a new career-high. Gavin Crissman was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Armstrong's record now sits at 0-2. As for Fox Chapel, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Armstrong is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Penn-Trafford at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fox Chapel, they will square off against Pine-Richland at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Pine-Richland will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Fox Chapel surely won't give up without a fight.
