Tokay won the last time they faced Franklin and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Tigers came out on top against the Yellowjackets by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

While Tokay might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Franklin scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18, 19-25, 25-22.

Franklin's loss came despite strong showings from Jonathan Lemus and Shia Her. Lemus had 36 digs and two aces, while Her had 39 assists and eight digs. Lemus is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 12 or more in each of the last nine games he's played.

Tokay picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 6-9. As for Franklin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Tokay and Franklin could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Tigers (ranked 728th) will meet Westlake Charter (ranked 195th) at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Franklin will challenge Edison at 6:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (826 vs. 199).
