Baseball Recap: Coronado Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Coronado challenged Canon City on Thursday. The Cougars came up short against the Tigers, falling 23-4. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Braden Taylor and Raunel Lopez-Reyes stepped up to the plate in a big way. Taylor went 1-for-2 with one triple and two RBI, while Lopez-Reyes went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one run.

Coronado's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Canon City, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-3.

Coronado does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Canon City, they will take on Rampart at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
