Baseball Game Preview: Anaheim Colonists vs. Esperanza Aztecs

The Anaheim Colonists will head out to face off against the Esperanza Aztecs at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Anaheim's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Esperanza's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Thursday, Anaheim was able to grind out a solid victory over Santiago, taking the game 7-2.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Esperanza). They were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over Buena Park on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Aztecs.

Brody Reeds looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Tungsten DeArte, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ian Gladue, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Anaheim's record now sits at 5-6. As for Esperanza, their record now sits at 6-7.
