            Basketball Recap: Unity Christian Knights vs. Tri-State Christian Huskies        
        
		
        
        
            Unity Christian hadn't done well against Tri-State Christian recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Friday. The Unity Christian Knights enjoyed a cozy  53-39 win over the Tri-State Christian Huskies. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  46-42  back in December of 2024.

Unity Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Nathan Woessner, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on 17  points and nine  boards. Woessner is also on a roll when it comes to  steals, as he's  now  grabbed two or more in the last four games he's  played.  Grant Heun was another key player,  almost  dropping  a double-double on 11 points and nine  rebounds.
 Unity Christian was working as a unit and  finished the game with 16  assists. That's a new  trend for them: they were averaging 4  assists per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 6.
 Tri-State Christian lost  despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being   Nehemiah Smith, who  went 5 for 9  en route to 11  points and seven  boards. Another player making a difference was  Sam Fernandes, who  posted seven points and five  steals.
The  win made it two in a row for Unity Christian and  bumps their season record up to 6-10. As for Tri-State Christian, they dropped their record down to 3-9 with the  loss, which was their fourth straight  on the road.
 Unity Christian will face off against Quad Cities Christian at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Tri-State Christian, they will take on Galesburg Christian at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
