Softball Recap: Hagerstown Continues Road Dominance on Thursday

Hagerstown hadn't done well against Union County recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Tigers blew past the Patriots 16-2. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Elly Cheesman was a standout: she scored four runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Jerycha Allred was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

Hagerstown was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Union County only posted a batting average of .190.
