Palm Desert has gone a perfect 10-0 against Xavier Prep recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Aztecs will head out to challenge the Saints at 6:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Palm Desert managed to slip by Rancho Mirage the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Aztecs lost 17-2 to the Rattlers last Friday. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Palm Desert saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gwyneth Kitagawa, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Xavier Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Colton, falling 13-0.

Xavier Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Palm Desert, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-10.

Palm Desert took their victory against Xavier Prep in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 9-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Aztecs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
