Softball Recap: Bishop Ready Takes a Loss

Bishop Ready blew Westerville South out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Westerville South got their revenge. The Silver Knights fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Silver Knights have suffered since May 10, 2025.

Bishop Ready dropped their record down to 3-10 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Westerville South, they moved to 3-11 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Bishop Ready will venture away from home to take on Groveport-Madison at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. The Silver Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cruisers have averaged an impressive 9.9 runs per game this season. As for Westerville South, they will host Bexley at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.73 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
