Volleyball Recap: Bishop Seabury Academy Takes a Loss

Bishop Seabury Academy suffered their biggest loss since September 18th on Tuesday. They came up short against the Maranatha Christian Academy Eagles, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 on September 9th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-12, 25-20.

Xeva Oldridge paced Bishop Seabury Academy's offense, picking up 11 kills. Oldridge got some help from Jillian Werner and her 16 assists. Oldridge was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Among those leading the charge was Macy Karlin, who had 15 digs and two aces. What's more, she posted two assists, the most she's had over her last six matchups.

Bishop Seabury Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-9 record this season. As for Maranatha Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

Bishop Seabury Academy will face off against Heritage Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Maranatha Christian Academy, they will take on Lutheran at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
