Volleyball Recap: West Grand Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against De Beque on Saturday, West Grand came back down to earth. The Mustangs came up short against the Vail Christian Saints on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Saints apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

West Grand took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-20, 25-21.

Brooke Terryberry paced West Grand's offense, picking up 13 kills. Terryberry got some help from Matti Hayes and her 17 assists. Amber Williams controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

West Grand's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Vail Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, West Grand and Vail Christian will both be playing Hayden the next time they take the court. The Saints will head out to face the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Mustangs will host them at 5:00 p.m. on the 31st.
