Football Recap: Tuttle Tigers vs. Madill Wildcats

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tuttle). Their defense stepped up to hand the Madill Wildcats a 69-0 shutout on Friday. The Tigers have beaten the Wildcats the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Wildcats has come to flipping the script.

A big part of Tuttle's victory came down to the chemistry between Cruz Campbell and his top target Jalen Lane. Campbell threw for 157 yards and four TDs on perfect 5-for-5 passing while Lane picked up 77 receiving yards and three scores. Those 77 receiving yards gave Lane a new career-high. Brody Dobbs was another key player, rushing for 68 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for Tuttle, racking up 21 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Lane, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
