Basketball Recap: Waterville Takes a Loss

Waterville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 62-17 loss at the hands of the Mount View Mustangs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 65-19 two weeks ago.

Waterville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Mount View, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Waterville Panthers take on the Belfast Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mount View, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Maine Central Institute at 5:00 p.m.
