Football Preview: Lowndes Vikings vs. Manatee Hurricanes

The Lowndes Vikings will stay at home for another week and welcome the Manatee Hurricanes at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Both are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Last Friday, Lowndes was fully in charge, breezing past Central Gwinnett 46-13 at home. The Vikings' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Aalim Brown had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 56 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, and also picked up 55 receiving yards and a touchdown. He got the majority of those yards when he pulled down a pass and and took off for a gain of55 yards.

Andrew Heidel was the offensive standout of the match as he threw for 182 yards and two touchdowns while completing 92.9% of his passes, and also punched in a rushing score. Another player making a difference was Kei?Shawn Smith, who gained 54 total yards and two touchdowns.

Lowndes pushed their record up to 3-0 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Manatee, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
