Volleyball Recap: Thornwell Starts off Right with Win over Chester

Thornwell had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Chester Cyclones. The Saints were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Cyclones, so the Saints were just returning the favor.

Thornwell was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-10, 25-20.

Leading Thornwell to victory were Chloe Wilson and Madilynn Porter. Wilson had five aces, while Porter had two aces. That's the most aces Porter has posted since back in October of 2024.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thornwell will head out to face off against Tournament Opponent at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Chester, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Great Falls at 6:00 p.m. on the 21st.
