Softball Recap: Cedar Cliff Comes Up Short

Cedar Cliff was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Central Dauphin Rams, falling 16-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 25-2 on April 1st.

Cedar Cliff saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddy Billus, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Alaina Tarnoci also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Cedar Cliff's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Central Dauphin, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cedar Cliff will venture away from home to challenge State College at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central Dauphin, they will face off against Mechanicsburg at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
