Basketball Recap: Burns Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Myla Medley and Josie Barrett

The Burns Broncs came up short against the Cody Broncs on Friday, falling 65-39. While losing is never fun, Burns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wyoming basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while Cody is ranked sixth).

Josie Barrett and Myla Medley certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Barrett went 10 for 21 on her way to 23 points and five rebounds, while Medley posted six points.

This is the second loss in a row for Burns and nudges their season record down to 2-3. As for Cody, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Burns didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-26 loss against Powell on the 20th. As for Cody, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 57-50 defeat against Douglas on the 21st.
