Softball Recap: Cooper Comes Up Short

Cooper fell victim to Anderson County and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 16-0 to the Bearcats. The Jaguars' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Cooper's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Anderson County, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Cooper will face off against Conner at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.08 runs per game on average), something the Jaguars will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Anderson County, they will be playing at home against Campbell County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
