Soccer Recap: Highland Extends Winning Streak to Three

Highland barely beat Carlinville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Cavaliers with a sharp 4-1 win on Friday. Considering Highland have won four games by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was Highland's third in a row) raised their record to 8-3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three matches. As for Carlinville, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4.

Highland has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Breese Central on the 21st. As for Carlinville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 7-0 win against Southwestern on the 21st.
