Basketball Recap: Augusta Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chester-Joplin-Inverness, Augusta was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Simms Tigers by a score of 42-29. That's more bragging rights for the Elks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The win got Augusta back to even at 1-1. As for Simms, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Augusta does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Simms, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cascade on January 3, 2025. Simms has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
