Volleyball Recap: Rio Vista Wins Going Away Against Axtell

The Rio Vista Eagles made easy work of the Axtell Longhorns on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Rio Vista not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Axtell between 18 and 21 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-19, 25-21.

Courtney Cooley paced Rio Vista's offense, picking up seven kills. Cooley got some help from Emma Niemtschk and her nine assists. Niemtschk was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

The win got Rio Vista back to even at 1-1.

Rio Vista has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Evant on the 14th. Axtell has also already played their next match (against Abbott), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
