Softball Recap: Stanton Comes Up Short

Stanton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Sidney Cowboys & Cowgirls, falling 13-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Vikings & Viqueens have suffered against the Cowboys & Cowgirls since July 2, 2020.

Stanton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Sidney, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Looking ahead, Stanton is taking a road trip to take on Fremont-Mills at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sidney, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Bedford at 5:30 p.m.
