Soccer Recap: Riverview Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Riverview waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Woodhaven Warriors get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. Given Riverview's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 110th, while Woodhaven are ranked 226th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Riverview pushed their record up to 9-5-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those five matches. As for Woodhaven, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Riverview will head out to challenge Trenton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Woodhaven, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 6-1 loss against Belleville on the 10th.
