Flag Football Recap: Murphy Gets the Win

Even if it wasn't a dominant performance, the Murphy Panthers beat the McGill-Toolen Yellowjackets 18-13 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Zoye Jones had another great game (as she tends to do), rushing for 96 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 93 yards and a pair of TDs. That's the most rushing yards she has posted since back in September.

Murphy's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for McGill-Toolen, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-7.

Murphy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for McGill-Toolen, they will take on Dothan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolves' defense has only allowed 9.4 points per game this season, so the Yellowjackets' offense will have their work cut out for them.
