 The Rolling Meadows Mustangs will be playing at home against the Elgin Maroons at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. The last five games Rolling Meadows has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
 On Wednesday, Rolling Meadows had just enough and edged Hoffman Estates out  6-4.
  Braden Koons made a splash while hitting and pitching. He  struck out six batters over  six innings while giving up  three earned runs off   eight  hits (and not a single walk). Koons was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Ryan Schneider, who  went 2-for-2 with four  RBI, a  run,  and a  double. Another player making a difference was  Callum Paisley, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, a  triple,  and a  double.
 Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Elgin's offense. They lost  15-0 to Bartlett on Tuesday. Elgin has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Rolling Meadows' win bumped their record up to 12-15. As for Elgin, their loss dropped their record down to 2-22.
 Everything went Rolling Meadows' way against Elgin in their previous matchup  back in May of 2023 as Rolling Meadows made off with  a  15-2 victory. Will Rolling Meadows repeat their success,  or does  Elgin have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
