Softball Recap: St. Mary Catholic Central Comes Up Short

St. Mary Catholic Central fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Clay on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 4-3. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

St. Mary Catholic Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Clay, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Eagles beat St. Mary Catholic Central by a score of 10-7 later that day.
