Basketball Recap: Niobrara/Verdigre Comes Up Short

Niobrara/Verdigre was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 68-34 defeat at the hands of the Randolph Cardinals. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-40 last Friday.

Niobrara/Verdigre's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Randolph, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Niobrara/Verdigre will venture away from home to take on Wynot on Thursday. As for Randolph, they will challenge Homer at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
