Hernando put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the West Lauderdale Knights by a score of 8-4. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 8-2 win the Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.

Haylee Jackson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on 11 hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Macie Dever Boaz was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. Dever Boaz is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's stole at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Callie Desmond also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

Dever Boaz wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Hernando lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Hernando's record now sits at 8-0. As for West Lauderdale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Coming up, Hernando will be playing at home against Marion at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Lauderdale has already played their next matchup (against Satsuma), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
