Volleyball Recap: Barrington Gets the Win

Barrington posted their closest win since October 18, 2024 on Saturday. They skirted past the Geneva Vikings 2-1.

Kalyn Brookbank paced Barrington's offense, picking up 13 kills. Brookbank got some help from Eve Adler and her 16 assists. Jaelyn Connole and Scout Matiyow kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Geneva's loss came despite strong showings from Ally Stevenson and Lexi Meives. Stevenson had ten digs and nine assists, while Meives had eight digs and three assists.

Barrington now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Geneva, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Barrington has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Lincoln-Way West on the 30th. As for Geneva, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Hinsdale Central on the 30th.
