Volleyball Recap: Izzy Cox and Shyann Herring Secure Win for Turner

Turner won the last time they faced Wyandotte and things went their way on Saturday too. The Golden Bears walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Bulldogs. The win was some much needed relief for the Golden Bears as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

While Turner won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-11.

Turner was led to victory by Shyann Herring and Izzy Cox. Herring had 20 digs and two aces, while Cox had six aces and three digs. What's more, Herring posted three assists, the most she's had since back in September.

Turner's victory bumped their record up to 10-19. As for Wyandotte, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-16-3 record this season.

Turner wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against West on the 18th. As for Wyandotte, they will head out to face off against Harmon on Thursday.
