It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Alpine can now relate to. They fell just short of the Lamesa Tornadoes by a score of 11-10 on Friday. The Bucks' defeat signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Emilyiana Hernandez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs. Rikki Vega was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Alpine now has a losing record of 14-15. As for Lamesa, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 13-9.

While Alpine had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
