Basketball Recap: Pineywoods Community Academy Comes Up Short

If Pineywoods Community Academy was riding high fresh off their 58-33 takedown of Woden on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Timberwolves were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 64-63 to the Wells Pirates. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (58), the Timberwolves still had to take the loss.

Several Timberwolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gunner Carnes, who posted 18 points in addition to five assists and five boards. Another player making a difference was Myles Simmons, who shot 64% from the field on his way to 16 points and three steals.
