Basketball Recap: Elliot Christian Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Elliot Christian extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-4. They were outmatched by the Forest Lake Christian Falcons and fell 71-33. The Eagles were down 54-31 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bryant Byrd, who posted nine points. Eli Duncan also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

As for Forest Lake Christian, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-3 record. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Jacob Stosen produced another solid performance dropping a double-double with 42 points and 11 boards. Those 42 points gave him a new career-high. Luca Brazavon was another key player, putting up four points along with seven assists and five steals.

Looking ahead, Elliot Christian will host Lodi Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles' defense better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 56 points per game this season. As for Forest Lake Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 53-44 win against Faith Christian on the 9th.
